Matt and Taylor provide a full service program encompassing training of horse and rider, sales, and clinics. MCD offers a unique program utilizing our extensive experience in starting young horses spanning to training up the FEI levels. We emphasize that creating a good foundation is the basis to the overall success of each horse and rider in training with MCD.  Matt and Taylor are now operating out of Steffen and Shannon Peter's beautiful Arroyo Del Mar. This facility provides the highest quality of care for the competitive dressage horse and MCD is thrilled to be here! We enjoy the process of developing our equine friends and welcome you to a happy and productive environment that is Matt Cunningham Dressage.

About Matt...

Matt is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist. While being a talented FEI rider and trainer, it does not define him as a horseman. Matt is acutely qualified in all areas of horsemanship because of his diversified background.

Matt grew up in Longview, Texas and started riding at the age of 11 when he began volunteering at Windridge Therapeutic Equestrian Center. The building blocks of his dedication to the horse world were created here and fortified with his hard-working and determined attitude. Matt went on to start two more Therapeutic Programs for at risk youth; one at Azelway Boys Ranch in Tyler, Texas and another at the well-known Methodist Children's Home in Waco, Texas.

About Taylor...

Taylor is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist. She is also a USDF Judges L-program graduate. Her passion for horses began at a young age, competing first in Hunters, and later Jumpers throughout her high school years. In college Taylor was drawn toward dressage and dedicated herself to this incredible sport and lifestyle. Upon graduating Texas Tech University, Taylor knew the only office she wanted to work in was a barn!

At the recommendation of a respected trainer, Taylor began and completed the USDF Judges L-program. This program was critical in the understanding of the biomechanics of the horse and the lower level movements. The L-program sparked Taylor's true desire to understand not only the beauty of dressage, but the immense skill it requires of it's riders.
